When Lynn’s son Zane was four, she called Raising Special Kids and found the support and assistance she needed to help her family face the bewildering challenges of autism, apraxia and bipolar disorder.
“I don’t know how the heck I survived,” Lynn said about receiving Zane’s diagnosis just after her daughter was born. Lynn recalled the relief she felt in speaking to another parent who served as her mentor, and from the resources and training she received.
Now that Zane is older, Lynn continues to seek resources and assistance, especially related to adult transition issues.
