Raising Special Kids provides training for pre-service and in-service professionals in education and healthcare. The training focuses on increasing collaboration between professionals and parents. Professionals are presented with the parent perspective by Raising Special Kids’ volunteer Parent Leaders, who share their personal experiences.
Engaging Parents in the IEP Process
This workshop is designed for professional development for pre-service teachers, special education teachers, general education teachers and related service staff. Discover ways to engage families in their child’s IEP, and how Raising Special Kids supports you in that effort. During the presentation, participants will also hear stories from experienced Raising Special Kids parent volunteers.
