Staff Spotlight: Brandi Clark

Brandi Clark joined the Raising Special Kids team in 2015 upon recommendation from a friend who also worked here. She has served in both the Arizona Early Intervention Program (AzEIP) referral team and briefly as the office administrative assistant.

Brandi took time away from work in 2018 after her second daughter was diagnosed with vesicoureteral reflux (VUR), a bladder and kidney disorder. Knowing this condition would involve numerous doctors’ appointments and surgery, Brandi devoted her time to her daughter’s care.

After two hospitalizations her daughter’s condition stabilized, and Brandi was able to return to the Raising Special Kids team in 2019. She was recently promoted to the Early Intervention Program Administrator where she oversees the AzEIP referral program. AzEIP provides assessments and therapy to children under age 3 with developmental delays

Brandi enjoys the opportunity to connect with families at what could be the beginning of their journey with a child with special needs. “I get to be a nice, calm voice for parents when they call us,” Brandi said. “I’m also helping little ones.”

Previously, Brandi worked in finance with for-profit schools like the University of Phoenix, doing financial aid and default prevention on student loans.

Now based in Prescott Valley, Brandi works remotely and lives with her husband and two daughters on a property that also houses three dogs and five chickens. Brandi serves as a Scout leader for her daughter’s Girl Scout troop. When she’s not running her daughters to activities or caring for her animals, Brandi enjoys cross stitch and embroidery.

“Working for Raising Special Kids is a dream come true,” Brandi said. “It’s wonderful to work for an employer who understands families’ needs.”
